To my Blacksburg friends and fans!

It’s about 3:30AM, I just got home and have about five minutes before I head to bed.  Before I do, I want to give a shout out to my friends and fans who made it out to the Blacksburg Awful Arthur’s tonight.

Even though much of the world is tired of partying during this festive time of year, you guys came out and partied with us anyways, and we totally appreciate it!

Anyways, thanks again for all the support and we’ll see you again next time we’re down in the area.

Some news on the band front!  Things are going really really well right now.  I am so stoked about everything happening right now and I wanted to share it with everyone who reads and keeps up with this blog.  We’re all feeling confident about the work we’re doing in the studio.  All the sounds are coming together nicely and I can’t help but sit there and bob my head listening to it.  We look to have a 3 song demo completed by the end of next week, so maybe… just maybe we’ll have something to post on the old myspace page.

There’s also some other news on the horizon, but I don’t want to give away too much all at once.  Check back here again soon and I’ll let you know what some of TRISCALE’s plans for the future are.  We’re going to need your help so, please check back.

December is here and it’s finally cold outside.  I hope everyone is feeling fat and happy like me after Thanksgiving.

This December we’re playing at the Brambleton Deli and Awful Arthurs.  Wish we had some more dates, but we’ve reserved the majority of this month for working on the album.  Yes the elusive album is still in the works and I will be sure to let you know when it’s ready for public consumption.

We’ve got a couple new tunes we’ve been working on during practice and I suspect we may pull one or two of them out during our next show at the Brambleton Deli.

Don’t forget, for you folks out in BLACKSBURG and RADFORD, we’ll be at the Awful Arthur’s in Blacksburg on January 2nd 2009.

I’ve been diggin’ this band the Black Keys a lot recently, so much so that I feel the need to spread the love. As you know, we like to bring that power-trio feeling back to music, well, believe it or not, these guys are a duo. And being a duo you wouldn’t expect the huge sound they provide; but man… they really can fill a huge space. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Mitch Mitchell: July 9, 1947 - November 12, 2008
Taken from CNN.com - “Mitch Mitchell, the British drummer in the seminal 1960s band the Jimi Hendrix Experience, has been found dead in his US hotel room, authorities say.
The 61-year-old was discovered in the Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon, in the early hours of Wednesday.”

I know he was one of my drumming idols and most definitely one of the greatest and most influential rock drummers of the 1960s.
